The wall.....

The wall

These are the feet of one who has been wandering in the desert, trying to come to the land of promise. (These feet are part of an art piece by Poncho, a political artist living in Tuscon, Arizona)

For as far as the eye can see, the wall stretches between our two countries, two countries who have not been at war in over 150 years, two countries who share economic connections, two countries with a common history....this is a militarized border. This is our neighbor, whom we are called to love as ourselves...is this love?

Another cross inside the shelter CCAMYN in Altar. Testimony to the magnitude of life lost in the desert.

A cross has been erected at the wall in Agua Preita, bearing the names of those who have died or been lost in the desert. There are also many smaller crosses pushed into the edge of the wall. A tangible reminder of the atrocities occuring here against humanity.
