Pictures from LBH

This is Kiko (in blue jacket in the middle), he is an engineer, who worked for many years in the factories in Mexico that are run by the U.S. He spoke to our group about the good things and the bad things about NAFTA, and American factories coming into Mexico. While in Mexico, we learned that workers in the factories make only $5.00 per day, but people do learn a trade. A pound of meat in Mexico costs $5.00, a days wage....

These signs appear all over near the border. People have been arrested for transporting undocumented workers to the hospital when they are found injured in the desert. Some people object to providing water stations in the desert, and sabotage these stations rather than allowing people who are thirsty from getting a drink.
